Summer course online: EPIC WIN

We have to do these discussions for my online PSYC course… I hate doing online discussions for marks. HOWEVER, I’ve managed to commingle a discussion on attention disorders (my specialty) with video games (my other specialty). Basically dominating the discussion boards with my life, which is coming off as me being really creative and thoughtful.

Over two weeks in…

Poison ivy, allergies, sun burns, and all around fatigue.

Also, riding the wave of being the weakest link at work (aka the girl* at work), got to go home early. And by early I mean at 430, so I worked for a regular amount of hours instead of an insane amount of hours. Horrraaayyyy.

Since yesterday was Victoria Day and we didn’t work the boss is making us work on saturday (like a fucking idiot) so I’m totally just going to ignore their sexist attitude that I’m the worst worker because I’m a girl (they clearly haven’t had a look at my guns haahahaaaa) and savor the part where my hours are reasonable… but will continue to ponder why the fuck he hired a girl in the first first place.

Stupid people do stupid shit.

Watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones made everything better. Gonna have to say that this episode (8 of season 2) was seriously excellent despite the part where they AGAIN skimped out on the Daenerys story line (and the use of dire wolves) UUUGGGGHHHHH….

* there’s another girl at work but she’s much older and as big and probably more muscly than all of the other guys

Game of Thrones ep17

Just watched the 7th episode of Game of Thrones season 2. Story lines that have been tweaked are now proving to be really tweaked. However, I’m lovin Arya and Tywin Lannister cup bearer relationship, it’s pretty cool. I’m pretty pumped for more of Daenerys’ storyline, it’s just getting to the good part.

DAT BOOK

Wizard’s First Rule is honest to God one of the best books I’ve read. It’s one of those rare books that actually breaks the chains of my adhd and I can just read it forever. It is a known fact that I do not read fast, YET I finished that book in a matter of 2 days. SUUUCCCEESSSS!

It was the epiphany of epic, the hero: heroic, the villain: villainous, the damsel: in distress (but not in the classic way), the world: vast an amazing and at risk of total destruction, the plot twists: amazing - even the ones I knew would happen. It didn’t matter, the story was just nothing more than the perfect adventure.

I wouldn’t say I liked this better than any of the Song of Ice and Fire books but I was more captivated and sucked in by it. It funneled me in like a frat boy funnels a beer (or three) at homecoming with this bros.

First day

I arrived home exactly one hour ago. Today I worked for 11.5 hours, got 4 beautiful blisters on each hand, got a farmers tan, a sock tan, and a sun burn on my face, and last and certainly least got honked at way too many times while raking mulch.

I biked there and back from work, I truly thought I was going to pass-out on the way back. But I made it! Despite what seems to be a lot of complaining going on I had a great day. My body hurts but it’s the good hurt from exercise (or maybe I only call it the good hurt). The guys I work with are awesome and pretty pervy (if you work outside with a physically demanding job you’d know being pervy is a requirement). So it’s just all good. Also, I’m going to be jacked by the end of the summer, I promise.

Now is it’s pissing rain, the perfect cool down to the end of an exhausting sunny day.
